Vintage Russian Fable Lacquered Box - Hand-painted - Signed - Late 20th Century

Vintage - fine quality - Russian 'fable' lacquered papier-mache box with canted corners, hand-painted design and gilt borders - signed NANCY and titled TROIKA - from the late part of the 20th century. The interior is completely finished in red lacquer. The over-all condition is excellent - no chips or cracks in the lacquer - minor surface scratches that come with age and use. Size - 4 1/2"W x 3"D x 1 1/4"H.
