Vintage Impressionist Painting - Balcony View of a 19th C. Parisian Street Scene

Vintage Impressionist oil painting on masonite panel of a 19th century Parisian street scene from a balcony view, circa 1950's. A variety of techniques have been employed on this panel that include thin washes of color over the gesso base, along with heavy impasto and scraping of pigment in areas. This painting is not signed by the artist and has another preliminary un-finished work on the rough back-side of the masonite panel. The over-all condition of the finished work is excellent with one small area, in the sky, that has loss of pigment. Size - 16"W x 20"H.
